Breitling Top Time Triumph Chronograph

Published By

Straight from the wrists of 1960s café racers, the Breitling Top Time Chronograph is a revival model, and a collaboration with Triumph, a British motorcycle brand. Café racers were freewheelers who shop-hopped on motorcycles, a hip group that combined café society sophistication and rugged biker cool—perfectly represented by the Top Time watch.

It’s a sporty chrono, with its racer-esque rally holed bracelet and mushroom pusher gadgetry. Yet, its ice blue dial is unique and classy, inspired by Triumph’s 1951 Thunderbird 6T. Instead of a contrast color emphasizing the squircle subdials, we’ve got dial brushing for a more sophisticated highlight, and a lot of light play. This feast of textures runs on Breitling’s 27-jewel Caliber 23 and has three bars of water resistance.
